For years I have thought that people with some sort of mental "disability" have been mistreated. My mom, who has been an RN in the Psych ward for 30 years, sees it everyday. But I have always had this theory, and maybe if it were true, we might be able to actually help them, instead of pumping them full of meds and making them sleep.
Ive thought that people with a mental disorder such as schizophrenia, and many others, are not hearing voices from inside their head, but out. Meaning the voices are not conjured by them, but the many spirits around them. It may sound crazy, but honestly, ive heard crazier.
We all know that children, pets, and the elderly are more susceptible to seeing and hearing spirits more so than others but what about the people im talking of? people with a disorder. They claim to hear many voices, some evil, some good, some horrific. Of course this theory wouldn't work for a scientist. But for those of you who do believe in spirits, you know this theory isn't as far fetched as it sounds.
For me this theory also ties into the idea of only using 10 percent of our whole brain at a time. I believe that people with this disorder use more then 10 percent of their brain at a time, or maybe a different 10 percent than we use. and that part of their brain just happens to be the part that allows us that 6th sense. Seeing/Hearing the dead. Our brain functions differently, therefor yes we do still see and hear them, but not to the point that they invade our brain.
Because these people are hearing so many dead at a time we see them as crazy, yet i believe they are just smart in a very different way. and they cannot control it. Maybe if a medium or a psychic were to work with them and teach them how to control the number of voices they hear at a time. and how to stop listening if they wish. Instead of doping them up and letting them sleep their imprisoned life away.
